The program will review the substance of the Fed’s new Regulation E overdrafts rule and related guidance, with a focus on practical issues facing the industry, such as:
  • What changes can be made to the model consent form,
  • How to deal with tracing in a mixed overdraft environment (for example, mixed ATM and check transactions),
  • The exception -- if any-- available for banks that adopt a policy not to authorize or pay overdrafts on ATM/one-time debit card transactions, and
  • Intricacies associated with record retention of the consent and/or the confirmation.

Following the webinar and Q&A session there will be a short presentation made by Harland Clarke on their Reg E customer communications solution.

Audience – Compliance, Operations, Audit, Bank Counsel, Marketing
